Demonstration of solution and challenges on floating systems

Floating solar photovoltaic (FPV) systems represent a promising innovation in renewable energy, with global capacity projected to reach 58GW by 2032. Despite rapid market growth, challenges persist in designing reliable and economically viable FPV systems due to limited operational data, conservative engineering approaches, and uncertainties around the water-cooling effect’s benefits. This publication examines these issues, addressing knowledge gaps in FPV performance and maintenance to support the sustainable advancement of this emerging technology.
